It was quiet. That kind of quiet that only comes after a tragic event. The kind of quiet that makes it seem like the world stood still. The event that brought on this silent moment was caused by the Titans. They broke through wall Maria and into the Shiganshina District. The aftermath of what happened...was horrifying. Buildings were destroyed. Blood was everywhere and Titans were roaming the street. It was like a horror movie. And Alix, along with two hundred and fifty thousand people were living it right now. Only difference was Alix was a soldier trained for this.
As the male opened his eyes, he was in one of the demolished buildings with his blonde hair covering his blue eyes. When he went to get up, he screamed out in pain and stopped, feeling a sharp pain under his ribcage. Looking at where the sharp pain was coming from, his eyes widened upon what he saw. One of his blades had pierced through him and into the wood that was under him. "D-Damn it..." He closed his eyes tight, hoping that it didn't go through anything too important. He clenched his teeth, and closed his eyes tight, yanking the blade out, making him bellow into the air again. "FUCK!!!" He screamed, and stood up slowly, a narrow hole where his sword was. "D-Damn it...that fucking hurt..." He quickly stuffed the hole with a cloth, tears forming in his eyes. At this moment, the pain was hardly anything. He was a survivor and a killer. And he was going to survive this no matter what it took. He replaced his blades and stepped out of the house, looking directly at a titan. "Fuck...you..." He said and shot his hooks directly into the eyes of the Titan, and reeled in his lines, making him go towards the Titan at an alarming rate of speed. He threw his body to the right, making him wrap around the Titan's neck and sliced the nape of it's neck open, causing the titan to fall forward and fling him through the window of a house, and through the back wall of the same house. When he hit the ground, he rolled and came to a stop, panting, his hair in his face once again. "This wound is going to get me killed..." His thought was interrupted by the sound of a little girl screaming. Widening his eyes he got to his feet, seeing a Titan grabbing a girl who was no older than six. "No!"
Alix screamed out in anger and used his 3D Maneuvering gear to get behind the Titan and kill it. As the Titan dropped the girl, Alix moved fast, catching the girl and slamming into a wall. "Mother..." He looked at the girl who was shaking in his arms. "Its ok...I'm gonna get you to safety...Just wrap your arms around my neck..." The girl nodded and did as was told. When she was secure around his neck, her legs around his stomach, he took off through the air, using his gear to maneuver in and out of alleyways, and over buildings. He then, got one good maneuver which propelled him upward and fast, allowing him to go over the wall that everyone was being evacuated to.
He placed one hand on the back of the little girls head, and the other arm around her waist, and slammed into the water hard. The girl was soon being drug out of the water by one of the Garrison soldiers and unto the boat for safety.

As a kid, Alix had a normal life. He grew up outside the walls in a little village off a beaten path. They had a routine, where if Titans were seen, they would hide, and work when Titans were not around. This routine, kept his village alive for several years. Until Alix ran down the path and saw one of the Titans. When he saw it he started running back, screaming as he was scared for his life, the Titan chasing him and lead a bunch of other Titans to the village as well.
This was the end of the Village life that Alix grew up knowing. When he got back to the village, he ran into the barn and hid in one of the stalls as the Titans fed on the people he grew up with. The 7 year old boy brought his knees to his chest and covered his ears, trying to drown out the screams of the villagers. "Make it stop...make it stop..." He begged. When the screaming stopped he removed his hands and walked to the barn doors, opened them a crack and peeked out, only to see a bright green eye looking back at him. Terrified he screamed, and passed out from fear. While he was unconscious, he dreamt of all the friends he had, his family, his life that was now gone.
A few days passed and he came to, in a bed in a hospital just inside Wall Maria. As he sat up, he looked around, and a black haired male doctor came to him asking him questions. Once the doctor stopped asking questions, the boy spoke up. "S-sir...Whats your name...and how did I get here...?" The man pushed up his glasses and smiled. "My name is Grisha Jeager, and I was hoping you could tell me. The Garrison found you atop the wall passed out." The boy became quiet and sighed, nodding in understandment. "Thank you..." He stayed quiet, his blue eyes no longer having any emotion in them. "I guess you saw something pretty bad...Where are you from?" Grisha asked the boy. Alix looked at him and sighed softly. "I'm from a village from outside the wall...We were attacked by the titans...and I...I survived...last thing I remember is seeing a Titan looking at me through the barn doors...."
Grisha watched the boy, and jotted a few things down on his clip board. "Alright...Whats your name?" He asked, and the boy responded telling him his name. "Alright Alix. You have a few options...the first is, we can have one of our nurses take you to the orphanage. The second one is I can send you over to the military and they will raise you. The last option is I can adopt you. Now, whatever you want to do is completely up to you." Alix looked at the man and with out hesitating he blurted out the second option. "The military! I want to learn to kill those monsters!" Grisha nodded and wrote down on a different piece of paper. "Alright. I'll have a member of the military police take you there."
Upon arriving the next day, he got looks from all the recruits who were at least 5 years older than him. Rumor started spreading that he was a disobedient child or that no one wanted him so this was the only option. The boy was handed a uniform that was designed especially from him. Instead of the brown jacket, it was a black one. And instead of the white pants, they were black, just like the jacket. He stood in line at attention, wearing the black jacket, a white shirt, the black pants and the boots. Being so much smaller and younger than everyone else gave him both an advantage and a disadvantage. Everyone underestimated him and went easy on him.
One day he was tired of it, so during dinner, he attacked the biggest guy there. He wasn't a match for the guy of course, but he wanted people to know he would take a beating and get right back up. He didn't want people to go easy on him. The guy just glared at him. "Go somewhere kid. I'm not going to hurt you." He said, and that pissed him off. Alix tackled the man into the wall and slammed his head into the guys gut. The guy pried him off with ease and threw him across the cafeteria as everyone just watched, wide eyed and tried to stop the older guy.
Alix got up and smiled, enjoying this. "Finally. Fight me you big ugly oaf." He said as his eyes started to retain their original lively color. The guy started walking to him speaking. "Stop this kid. If this keeps up you will end up in the infirmary." Alix shook his head. "I don't care." He then took off running and jumped onto one of the tables. He ran to the edge, leaped off and slammed his knee into the guys nose, throwing him back and unto the ground. "Get up. Or are you going to let a 7 year old kick your ass?" Asked Alix, watching the man get up, blood dripping from his nose. "That's it! You're dead!" One girl got in the way, and the guy punched out, knocking her out. Before Alix could react, the instructor walked in and sighed. "How about you two save this for training. And someone bring the girl to the infirmary."
Alix got three times the training as everyone else. By the time he was 15, he was an expert in hand to hand combat, the ODMG, and Titan anatomy. He made so many friends who left and went out to battle. Alix stood with the new top 10 graduates, no longer the little wimpy looking kid he was nine years prior. He now stood five foot nine, weighed on hundred and sixty five pounds and his build was that of an athletic male. The shirt he wore was a bit tight and showed off his muscles. Being number 1 on the top 10 didn't mean anything to him. He was going to go out and kill the Titans. That's what he had been training all this years for anyway.
A few days after graduating, he was already leaving with the Survey Corps, wearing his normal black and white uniform and the new green cloak.
